Spectrum expert at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Lebanon since its establishment in 2007. Jinane has long experience in telecom regulations and has also a significant role in developing the national spectrum policy, the National Frequency Allocation Table and the licensing guidelines for different radio services. She represented TRA and the Lebanese administration in number of international and regional meetings such as the ITU-D Study Group meetings, ITU-R Study Groups and Working Parties, as well as the World Radiocommunications Conference in 2007, 2012 and The World Telecommunications Development Conference in 2014 and 2017.

She was appointed as Vice Rapporteur for ITU-D SG1 Q8/1 for the Study Group Period (2014-2017) and currently, she is Vice Rapporteur for ITU-D SG1 Q2/1 (2018-2021) dealing with strategies and methods of migration to digital TV and sound broadcasting and trends in broadcasting technologies and applications.

Prior to joining the TRA, Jinane worked as spectrum engineer at the Ministry of Telecommunications.

Mrs. Karam holds a Master in Electronic Engineering and a Master in Radiocommunications Engineering from UVSQ, France. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Networks from Saint Joseph University USJ, Lebanon.
