She was previously a Senior Research Manager at LIRNEasia (digital policy and research thinktank in Sri Lanka), working on regional policy research and consulting projects, such as drafting Sri Lanka’s National Digital Policy (2020-25) for the Ministry of Digital Infrastructure and IT, analysing Myanmar’s ICT sector reforms, and the impact of digitization on developing country jobs, among others.

She has over 14 years of experience in telecoms/ICT/digital policy and regulatory analysis and advocacy, having worked at Axiata Group Berhad in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as a Specialist in Regulatory Affairs, and as a Research Associate for the Singapore Internet Research Centre (SIRC), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore
