Girls Make IT Happen 2016

"Girls Make IT Happen 2016" is an international meet-up for ICT students and industry professionals that is held in honor of International Girls in ICT Day. The goal of the event is to encourage girls to choose studies and career in an IT industry.

During the event guests were informed about recent data of IT studies and job market in Latvia and inspired by success stories of women in IT industry. At the end of the event new collaboration initiative was introduced – Tele2 Shared Service Center presented 100 scholarships for school-aged girls to study programming in a special educational program LearnIT.
