Monitoring ICT industry GHG emissions, energy use and climate commitments

Since 2022, ITU and the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) have been at the forefront of monitoring GHG emissions, energy use, and climate commitments from 200 leading tech companies. Our annual industry assessment reports provide invaluable insights into corporate climate data and targets, while highlighting best practices for reducing emissions and achieving net-zero operations. Through these reports, we provide actionable recommendations for companies to reduce their environmental footprint and align with climate goals.



Commitments Towards Green Digital Action  

​Over 40 tech companies and organizations came together to push for Green Digital Action during COP28 in 2023. Green Digital Action has made progress towards the objective of gathering a strong and efficient group of organizations that agree to implement GHG emissions reductions following ICT 1.5°C trajectories and launch a peer learning working group to support each other with this implementation taking into account different maturity levels.
