ITU and E-waste in Uzbekistan
ITU is providing support to the Government of Uzbekistan in the development of e-waste policy and regulations but also on the strengthening of e-waste data collection and analysis. The focus of ITU activities is to equip national partners with proposals, tools, recommendations, and a strong roadmap for the implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) in the country.
- ITU – UNEP (2021 – 2022)
ITU, in collaboration with the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection (SCRUEEP) and the Ministry for Development of Information, Technologies and Communication (MITC), provides support to the Government in the development of e-waste policy and regulation. As part of the process, the partnership has prepared four technical reports to map the e-waste landscape in Uzbekistan and suggest a roadmap for the implementation of EPR on e-waste.
