Second Stakeholder Consultation and Capacity Building Workshop
on the Interception of Communications Legislative Framework
The Second HIPCAR Stakeholder Consultation Workshop to adopt and validate the Interception of Communications Legislative Framework was held in Castries, Saint Lucia (5 April 2011), followed by a Capacity-building / Sensitization Training Workshop , kindly hosted by the Government of Saint Lucia’s Ministry of Communications, Works, Transport and Public Utilities, and co-organized with the HIPCAR Project.
The objectives of the Consultation Workshop were to review, adopt and validate the proposals for the reform of the aforementioned framework to facilitate harmonization in accordance with the HIPCAR Model Policy Guidelines and Legislative Text.
The Capacity-building / Sensitization Training Workshop was aimed to raise awareness of the updated legal framework and ensure that roles and responsibilities were clearly articulated for those involved in implementing the Act as well as on subjects selected amongst those covered by the updated legal framework.
