1. To provide capacity building on the key principles of Cyber security and crime;

2. To understand concepts and techniques of developing cyber policy and legislations;

3. To elaborate guidelines for developing cyber policy and legislation.

Workshop on Cyber-Legislation Assessment

of the Present Situation in the Pacific Region

The objectives of this workshop were:

1. To formally present the findings of the “Assessment of the Present Situation for Cyber Legislation” in the Pacific Islands Countries

2. To solicit inputs from ICT stakeholders regarding the main findings including regional best practices;

3. To review the basic issues that a cyber legislation will address;

4. To endorse the above Assessment report and define jointly the future activities.
