International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organizing a virtual instructor led Training Course on Conformity and Interoperability for the Africa Region through ITU Academy entitled Conformance and Interoperability (C&I): Topics to be covered are Legal aspect of Conformity and Interoperability, Guidelines of C&I Regimes including Type Approval regulation, Policy and regulation of Conformity and Interoperability establishment/development, Mutual Recognition Agreement/Arrangement (MRA) and Conformity and Interoperability of Internet of Things in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
The Training course is open to experts conducting activities on conformity in the topics stated above from Ministries in charge of ICTs and the Regulatory Bodies.
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with NCA – Ghana (National Communication Authority of Ghana) is offering training in English and French with interpretation in both languages. Participants are welcome from both English speaking and French Speaking countries. Training will take place from 15th to 19th November 2021, 09:00-15:00hrs, GMT, 11:00 – 17:00hrs, GMT + 2
There are no participation fees for the training as ITU will pay for participation fees. However, participants are required to have reliable internet connectivity to access the training. All participants should first register with ITU as no registration with ITU first will be denied access to training.

Due to the limited number of seats available in the class, please be aware that only one candidate per country may be accepted for the Training Course and selection will be done on first come first serve basis. Candidates will be selected based on their duties and background knowledge of Conformance and Interoperability issues. Confirmation of admittance to the training course will be sent directly to the selected candidates. Candidates will be expected to give a brief of C&I status in their countries and also to participate in group projects and presentation of stated topics above.
