PRIDA workshop on Spectrum Monitoring, Aeronautical and Maritime Communication Services for African, 25 to 27 April 2023 Zanzibar, Tanzania

​​​​​​​Based on the fruitful cooperation in the past between the Tanzania Communication Authority and ITU, Zanzibar, Tanzania has been selected for the execution of a PRIDA ca​pacity building workshop on Spectrum monitoring, Aeronautical and Maritime Communication Services for African (English speaking countries) from 25 to 27 April 2023 Zanzibar, Tanzania.

The workshop delivered in English on Spectrum monitoring, Aeronautical and Maritime communication services and is planned for selected experts from the English speaking countries or regulators and full fellowships awarded by ITU to the participating delegates.

The training on Spectrum monitoring,​ Aeronautical and Maritime communication services is designed to equip the telecommunication authority in Africa with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage and regulate the communication services in these critical sectors.

PRIDA is an initiative by the AUC, EU, ITU and also includes Regional Economic Communities, Africa Telecommunications Union, Regional Regulatory Associations, National Regulators, and other stakeholders. It includes many direct and indirect actions for helping African countries to achieve efficient and harmonized spectrum utilization across Africa (harmonize wireless broadband internet spectrum), including training, capacity building, workshops, creation of national, regional and Africa level Guidelines and Roadmaps among others.
