ITU Regional Economic Dialogue of Telecommunications/ICTs, Mexico DF, Mexico, 4-6 September 2018

ABOUT

The ITU Regional Economic Dialogue of Telecommunications/ICTs – 04 to 06 September 2018, will be held in Mexico City, Mexico. This activity is organized by the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT), in close collaboration with the Federal Telecommunications Institute - IFT of Mexico. This Dialogue will also benefit from the presence of international experts involved in the work of ITU-D Study Group 1 Question 4/1 (Economic policies and methods of determining the costs of services related to national telecommunication/ICT networks) through the holding of an Experts’ Knowledge Exchange on related topics, to be held the afternoon of Thursday 6 September, which is open to all participants.

PURPOSE

The Regional Economic and Financial Forum of Telecommunications/ICT will focus, among other interesting subjects, on connecting the unconnected in a digital converged world, the economic and financial issues in a converged broadband environment and the new challenges in the digital ecosystem. Participants are invited to make presentations or participate as panellists to illustrate the situation in their countries on these issues, in order to promote dialogue and exchange of experiences.

ITU Member States; ITU-D Sector Members, Associates and Academia; Regional organizations in the Americas region; National Regulatory Authorities of ITU Member States.
