Setting Course Towards the Digital Decade of
Action
The ITU Regional Development Forum (RDF) provided an annual opportunity for dialogue between the Arab States Regional Office and decision-makers of ITU Member States and Sector Members, Regional and International Organizations, and other stakeholders who wish to strengthen cooperation and partnerships for activities carried out at the regional level.
The objectives of this year's RDF were as follows:
1. Shape a vision for regional digital transformation to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda in a post-COVID-19 environment.
2. Highlight opportunities for collaboration through the UN Sustainable Cooperation Frameworks.
3. Raise awareness and promote coordination to implement the outcomes of the World Radiocommunication Conference and prepare for the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly and World Telecommunication Development Conference.
4. Promote opportunities for collaboration with relevant stakeholders in line with the ITU Arab Regional Office planned activities for 2021.
