The Arab Digital Youth Event is an event organized by the members of the ITU Generation Connect - Arab Youth Group (GC-ARAB), facilitated by the ITU Regional Office for the Arab States. The event to be held virtually on 26 May 2022. Interpretation will be provided in three languages Arabic, English and French.
The aim of the Arab Digital Youth event is to create a platform for meaningful engagement between the Arab leaders from different organizations and the Generation Connect Arab Regional Youth Group in order to lifting young voices to regional level discussions. It also aims to build foundations to strengthen youth engagement and involvement in the Arab region,
This event will serve as another step towards the Generation Connect Youth Summit, to be held in June 2022.
The Digital Youth Jam for Arab Region will focus in particular on two themes, i.e.:
- The reality of education in the Arab region in shaping youth for the decent job
- Perspectives around youth engagement
The outcomes of the discussion will form the foundations for further discussions and call to action at the regional level. Additionally, these outcomes will form the bases for a contribution to the Generation Connect Youth Summit 2022
