ITU Arab regional Office in collaboration with the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority of Sudan (TPRA) will organize the ITU Regional Training Courses on Certified Network Engineer for IPv6 (CNE6) – Silver Level and Certified IoT Fundamental (CIoTF) in Khartoum-Sudan, 30 October to 3 November 2022. The training courses are being implemented as part of the activities of the ITU's regional IPv6 and IoT Expertise Centre for Arab Region. The training courses will be back-to-back 3 days for CNE6 silver level + 2 days for IoT Fundamental. Both events will be delivered in Arabic and English and are free of charge.
The CNE6 Silver training course is designed to provide the participants with foundation information on IPv6 technology and exposure the participants on the technical knowhow to start the IPv6 implementation.
The Internet of Things (IoT) Fundamental training course provides an overview and insight into the emerging technology. The course covers the basic concepts, terminology, and key components of IoT.
By the end of these training courses, the participants can get the following knowledges and skills:
- Why need to move IPv6 platform?
- IPv6 addressing architecture
- IPv6 packet structure and header format
- IPv6 transitions mechanisms
- Concepts and Terminologies IoT
- IoT business orientation
- Basic building block of IoT architecture
- Enabling Technologies of IoT
- IoT security and top governance issues
- Hands-on Labs on both CNE6-silver level and IoT fundamentals
The CNE6 Silver level and CIoTF courses are designed for network administrations, IP specialist, network support personnel, network designers, networking consultants, IT managers, business analyst, applications specialists, and IT directors.
To attend the CNE6 Silver level and CIoTF courses, you should have a good knowledge of general networking concepts, knowledge in IPv4 addressing, Internet concepts, computer networking, programming devices using C / C++ / Python, as well as knowledge of computer fundamentals.
The selection for the participation in these training courses will be based on the following criteria:
- Participants should have a first level university degree (Bachelor of Sciences) in telecom engineering or related field,
- Have at least 3 years of hands-on experiences in Telecom./ICTs related filed.
