ITU ASP CoE Training on Traffic engineering and advanced wireless network planning

17-19 October 2018, Holiday Inn, Suva, Fiji

The ITU Asia-Pacific Centre of Excellence (ITU ASP CoE) Training on " Traffic engineering and advanced wireless network planning" will be held from 17-19 October 2018 at Suva, Fiji. This face-to-face training is organized jointly by the International Telecommunication Union, Pacific Islands Telecommunication Association and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (Thailand) as part of the Broadband Access programme under the auspices of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Asia-Pacific Region. The training is hosted by the Department of Communication (Government of Fiji) and is supported by the Department of Communications and the Arts (Government of Australia). The training will be delivered in English language. The training will be preceded by the PITA Telecoms Digital Strategy Forum, which will be held from 15-16 October 2018 at the same venue.

The objective of the programme are

  • To build knowledge of policy makers, regulators and telecom operators in the areas of 4G, 5G and IoT ecosystem and related network planning
  • To share best practices on traffic engineering and network planning in evolving scenario.
  • To build skills on how to develop a roadmap for 5G and IoT.

The focus of this training is to provide senior management and decision makers of ICT entities including governments, regulators, service providers and academia with insight on network planning in the changing telecommunication/ICT technology landscape in the context of the Pacific. Registration for the training should be made online at this site link no later than 30th September 2018.
