Announcement: LinkedIn Group- Women AI Policy Network in Southeast Asia

I am pleased to announce that on 21 July 2022, we have created a LinkedIn group for Women AI Policy Network in Southeast Asia, here: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/14107139/. This group aims to identify key AI stakeholders and create a regional network of AI female policy makers, regulators, and delegates in Southeast Asia to share good practices and lessons learned as well as coordination and cooperation.

This group is part of our project on
Enhancing the Development of Standards and Frameworks for Critical Technologies in Southeast Asia," especially on output 3, namely multi-stakeholder Network of Female Policy Makers created at the subregional, regional and global levels. This Project is funded by Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), which aims to enhance the development of standards and frameworks for critical technologies in Southeast Asia. It focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the potential gender and social biases linked with them.

The Project is built on four outputs. In addition to output 3, the other three outputs are i)  research output on the state of critical technology standards, frameworks, policies and initiatives, including the capacity gaps among stakeholders in Southeast Asia, ii) Training/Workshops and knowledge sharing activities on Critical Technologies for policymakers in primary beneficiary countries in Southeast Asia, and iii) Country-specific support provided to assist the policymakers and regulators in the development and implementation of standards, frameworks, policies and initiatives.

I hope you can share the information on this group to other female colleagues and policy makers who are relevant and will be beneficial in joining this group.
