ITU Regional Workshop for CIS on Experience in the Implementation and Operation of Digital TV Broadcasting in the CIS, Moscow, Russian Federation, 16-18 February 2016

OVERVIEW

The Workshop is aimed at sharing practical experience in the field of digital television broadcasting networks in the countries of the region. In particular, the workshop will cover the issues, such as:

Status of digital television and radio broadcasting transition in the CIS and in the world;
Status, problems and issues of frequency allotment;
Issues of switching off analogue broadcasting;
Equipping of broadcasting facilities: operation and measurement;
Prospects for the development of digital television and radio broadcasting.

The agenda of the workshop foresees visit of Regional Multiplexing Centre of the Russian Federation and the radio-transmitting television station in Ostankino.
