The Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications, together with the International Telecommunication Union, on the initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, is holding workshops “Digital Development of Administrative-Territorial Units”. The workshops are held as part of the implementation of the ITU-D Regional Initiative for the CIS "Smart Cities and Communities" and the National Program of the Republic of Belarus "Smart City".
In 2024, two seminars will be organized “Digital development of administrative-territorial units” - the seminar for representatives of administrations of administrative-territorial units of the Vitebsk region was held in Polotsk on 14-15 March, 2024. - the seminar for representatives of administrative-territorial units of the Gomel region will be held in Mozyr on 18-19 April, 2024.
The first workshops were held in 2022 in Molodechno and Pinsk for the Brest and Minsk regions. The seminars were attended by over 200 specialists, who were shown the technical solutions proposed for implementation in a smart city, as well as the opportunities they provide to the population and business.
