The Te
lecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the Swiss Webacademy, and in partnership with Romanian Regulatory Authority (ANCOM), the National Romanian Police, the Romanian Intelligence Services as well as the Swiss Canton of Geneva, and the President's Chancellery of the Republic of Moldova supported the 4th Central European Cybersecurity Public-Private Dialogue Platform held from 14 to 16 September 2016 in Sibiu, Romania.
The main goal of the event was to create an open dialogue among countries in Central Europe in order to improve information sharing and cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. Cybersecurity professionals and policy and decision makers from Central European countries participated in the sessions, promoting constructive dialogue between governments, ICT security players and consumers.
The challenge was to create, through specific workshops and interactive sessions, a prolific and useful debate where every participant enhanced their subject matter understanding and availed of networking opportunities. This allowed for a complete understanding of the principles of the newest security problems and how to face them, and for cybersecurity specialists to see that practices could be shared among different countries.
