Workshop on techniques designed to promote harmonization of C&I regimes

In this session, we will explore the growing challenges of mobile device theft and the crucial importance of raising awareness among both providers and users of telecommunication equipment/ICT. With the proliferation of mobile devices in our daily lives, the risk of theft and counterfeiting of these devices has increased considerably, requiring concerted action by the entire technological ecosystem. Speakers in this session will share their knowledge and expertise on various aspects of mobile device security, including the latest tracking and combating counterfeit technologies, effective awareness-raising strategies, existing regulations and the need for collaboration among industry stakeholders. By focusing on preventing device theft and promoting the use of conforming equipment, this session aims to inform participants on best practices and measures to be taken to protect data and ensure user safety.​

The sub-topics addressed will include:
• monitoring and combating counterfeit telecommunication/ICT mobile devices;
• strategies for raising awareness and training of users and providers;
• regulations and standards for the safety of terminal equipment, in particular those relating to combating counterfeit telecommunication/ICT equipment;
• collaboration among industry players to combat device theft and counterfeit terminal equipment.

The session on "Internet of Things and Regulatory Aspects for the Adoption of The Opening of Conformance and Interoperability (C&I) related to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)" provides an in-depth exploration of the specific regulatory challenges for the integration of IoT in the field of ICTs. This session brings together experts to discuss legal implications, conformance standards and interoperability strategies in the context of the increasing use of IoT in ICT infrastructures and services.

The sub-topics addressed will include:

• regulatory framework for IoT in ICTs;
• conformance standards for IoT devices;
  
• data security and privacy in ICTs in particular in IoT;
