Radio Quiet Zone Database

To enhance information exchange between administrations that operate radio astronomy sites and global space systems, ITU has established an informative database of Radio Quiet Zones (RQZs) for voluntary provision of data about radio astronomy sites of particular national importance.

Interested administrations, through their regular national procedures, are invited to submit to the Radiocommunication Bureau (to the attention of SG 7 counsellor) the information by filling this template.

Any requests for modifications or removal of previously submitted zones should also be sent to the attention of the Radiocommunication Bureau by the relevant administration.

The systems referenced within the database operate in accordance with the Radio Regulations and/or relevant national regulations.
