Zhou Jian received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University, majoring Control Science and Engineering. At present, he is a senior engineer and the Director of Informatization Research Center of the Electronic Technology Information Research Institute (ETIRI), under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). He is in leadership of research in the ‘‘Integration of Informatization and Industrialization (III)’’ area under MIIT.
He has led and participated in dozens of national projects, including the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863), the National Science and Technology Major Project, FP6, etc. He was the recipient of multiple technical awards.
He is currently the Secretary-General of joint workgroup of III management system of MIIT and China Consulting Service Alliance for Integration of Informatization and Industrialization, chief of III assessment workgroup and III related standard drafting workgroup of MIIT, chief of ''Food Quality Safety Traceability System'' technical coordination workgroup of MIIT.
