Stefano Ammirati
Director for Road Safety & Global Advocacy, Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA)

Stefano Ammirati is the Director for Road Safety & Global Advocacy for the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the governing body for world motor sport and the federation of the world’s leading motoring & mobility organizations. In his current role, he supervises the FIA global policy strategy, advocating for more than 80 million members from national clubs throughout the world on three priority areas: road safety, connectivity & sustainable mobility. Prior to joining the FIA, Stefano spent 13 years of his career with the World Economic Forum, in charge of the strategic agenda for the Transportation & Logistics sector as well as for the Automotive sector. He holds a Master in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International Relations in Geneva.
​Bryn Balcombe
CSO, Roborace and Director, Autonomous Drivers Alliance (ADA)

Bryn Balcombe is the Chief Strategy Officer for Roborace, a motorsport competition for human and AI drivers, designed to accelerate the research and development of Vehicle Intelligence and human machine interfaces required for transportation of the future. His previous experience comes from Formula One where he architected and patented vehicle to infrastructure communication systems and developed the F1 Group’s first global media network. He has also consulted on technology strategy for organisations including the BBC and McCann Worldgroup and has a BEng in Mechanical Engineering & Vehicle Design.
András Csepinszky
Director, Advanced Automotive Technology, NNG

András works as director of Advanced Automotive Technology at NNG since 2016. He is leading the Hungarian Mobility Platform’s Vehicle Localisation Working Group which operates under the umbrella of the Institute for Transport Sciences (KTI).  He chairs the Traveller Information Services Association’s Content and Services Committee and is the convenor of its Business Analysis Working Group. He is also Steering Committee member of the Navigation Data Standard Association. He is actively contributing to different other standardization organisations’ work such as ISO TC204, CEN TC278, SENSORIS, ADASIS, SAE ORAD. András is invited lecturer at the Budapest University Of Technology and Economics, Department of Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics since 2014, co-author of a number of publications. Previously, András have worked as Project Manager at ERTICO ITS-Europe for more than 5 years in Brussels seconded by YGOMI Europe GmbH and as Partnership Manager, External Affairs, and Standardisation Manager at YGOMI. He is passionate of cooperative, connected and automated driving, smart and safe mobility, Mobility-as-a-Service and interested also in the legal and societal aspects of this new areas.
David  Fidalgo
Co-Founder and Vice-President, AEVAC

David is a Technology and Innovation enthusiast and Automotive expert. He is the Co-Founder and Vice-President of AEVAC (Spanish Association of Autonomous and Connected Vehicles) and Founder and CEO of Y-Mobility. His knowledge has been instrumental for companies of all sizes to grow their products or brands in the automotive and mobility market. David knows what truly drives technology, product development, strategy and Investment and places specific emphasis on bringing value by delivering a product or service that can change the quality of our lives. David masters all the aspect of Start Up development, investment, fast pace innovation and partnership. His background is mainly related to automotive embedded and critical systems engineering, digital systems and business innovation.
Zoltán Hamar
Managing Director, Zala Zone Autonomous Test Track

Zoltán Hamar, graduated as M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1998 at the Technical University Budapest. Since then he worked for Knorr-Bremse Research and Development Hungary, initially as a Test Engineer, later as Head of the Test Department of electronic braking systems. He has almost 20 years of experience in vehicle testing at proving grounds all around Europe including the validation of connected and automated vehicle systems. He is one of the initiators of the ZalaZone proving ground project in Hungary since 2008 and joined APZ (Automotive Proving Ground Zala Company) from the start in 2016 as Chief Technical Officer. From 2019 he leads the track operator organisation of Zalazone. Beside this he coordinates the automotive working group of the Hungarian Mobility Platform which has a connecting role between the industrial partners and the Hungarian government.
Dirk Hetzer
Senior Expert, Business Innovation Digital Division, Connected Mobility, T-Systems International GmbH

He worked as a Project manager at T-Systems Nova, Berkom GmbH from 1993 - 2001. The role entailed co-ordination of national and international research project in the field of integrated networking, product definition; Project manager for IP / IPv6 and Mobile IPv6 projects in DTAG. From  2001 – 2006 he headed several departments at T-Systems Nova, Berkom. From  2006 – 2014 he was the head  of the System Solution & Engineering, department of Media Broadcast GmbH (TDF group). His working areas incldes  IPTV headend, broadcast networks, DVB-H, DAB, DVB-T2, broadcast operation, frequency strategies. Since 2014 til date, he has been working at  T-Systems International, IoT Connected Car, Senior Expert Business Innovation, data analytics for automotive backends; Technical Project Manager EU Project 5G CroCo; member of the 5G automotive team DTAG.

Bilel Jamoussi
Chief, Study Groups Department, ITU

A distinguished engineer, leader, and diplomat; multilingual standardization expert and holder of 22 patents, Tunisian born Dr. Bilel Jamoussi has been Chief of the Study Groups Department of ITU Standardization Bureau (TSB) in Geneva Switzerland since 2010. He has led the coordination of the bureau’s standards moving activities into a new era characterized by digital transformation that needs an increased collaboration with vertical sectors such as healthcare, transportation, utility, and banking.
Key achievements under his tenure have been important new standards while effectively managing staff by recruiting new talent, improving gender balance, delivering new work methods, and staying within budget. Prior to 2010, he worked in the private sector for 15 years. As Director of Standards, he managed more than 50 staff and the company participation in more than 90 standards organizations worldwide. In the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), he authored a number of Internet standards. As an IEEE Senior Member, he was elected to the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) Board of Governors and the IEEE-SA Corporate Advisory Group.
Hironao Kawashima 
Emeritus Professor, Keio University, and Special Advisor, Mobility Culture Research Center           
            
Hironao Kawashima  was born in Tokyo, Japan, and received theB. Sc., M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in Administration Engineering from Keio University, Yokohama, Japan. From 1972 to 2010, he has been with the Department of Administration Engineering Keio University. He was the Director of Co-Mobility Society Research Center from 2007 to March of 2010. Now he is the Emeritus Professor of Keio University, and the Special Advisor of Mobility Culture Research Center. Dr. Kawashima has been involved in various projects on ITS in order to develop vehicle-infrastructure cooperative systems to improve safety and comfort of urban road transport. In parallel to domestic activities, he was also involved in the standardization of ITS in ISO/TC204 as the head of Japanese delegation from 1992 to 2010.

Lina Konstantinopoulou
Secretary-General, EuroRAP

Lina Konstantinopoulou is the Secretary General of EuroRAP, European Road Assessment Programme. Previously, she worked for more than 10 years in senior management positions at the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and ERTICO – ITS Europe. She has been involved in the management of various multi-stakeholder platforms and policy activities as well as a wide range of European road transport and ICT research projects. Ms Konstantinopoulou has experience in advising on Road Safety, ITS/C-ITS, Artificial Intelligence, Connected and Automated Driving, Data Sharing Schemes. Mrs Konstantinopoulou holds a certificate on Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous driving by MIT Sloan School of Management and the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) with accompanied Bachelor Studies in European Economics and master’s in international Trade.
David Lanyi
Head of Machine Learning Methods, Continental AG Deep Learning Competence Center

David is leading machine learning engineering activities at Continental’s Budapest Deep Learning Competence Centre for advanced driver assistance- and autonomous driving systems. His areas include complex scene understanding, computer vision, point cloud analysis, sensor fusion and other fundamental machine learning methods. His team is focusing on providing a solid foundation for safe and reliable driving functions, towards a future with no road fatalities. In his early career, he has been working at the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory studying and applying artificial intelligence for different industry use cases. He graduated in computer science at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics
Jun Li 
Chairman, ITU-T SG16 FGVM and Deputy Secretary-General,Telematics iIndustry Application Alliance (TIAA)            
          
Li Jun, is the Chairman of ITU-T SG16 Focus Group on Vehicular Multimedia and Secretary General of TIAA (Telematics industry Application Alliance), Senior Engineer. He has over 20 years of experience in the sectors of Mobile and Satellite, has a deep understanding of the mobile communication and satellite broadcasting technology, and had participated and chaired the TD-LTE industrialization and internationalization, mainly at present responsible for “Internet plus” satellite mobile broadcasting network integration terminal standards and industrialization. He serves as Deputy Secretary General of TIAA, is also the leader of Vehicular Multimedia Workgroup of TIAA, take charge in construction of Chinese Vehicle Digital Multimedia Eco-system. Now, he has some research on AD (Autonomous Driving) driven by High Precision Navigation and Positioning Technology.
Kirsty Lloyd-Jukes
CEO, Latent Logic

Kirsty is the CEO for Latent Logic - an Oxford University A.I. technology spin-out using state-of-the-art machine learning to develop virtual reality test environments for self-driving cars. An Oxford graduate, Kirsty spent her early career at strategy consultancy Oliver Wyman. She then joined the AA as Director of Membership Services and Ventures to lead the strategy post IPO. Whilst there she launched several successful start-ups in the future mobility ecosystem, including the AA’s multi award-winning Connected Car product Car Genie. Kirsty is also a Non Executive Director for the Institute of Directors.
Noah Luo
ITU-T SG16 Chairman, Director, Dept. of Industry and Standards (West Europe), Huawei

​Noah Luo is ITU-T SG16 Chairman. Mr. Luo is a senior standards and strategic expert from Huawei Technologies, Co., Ltd., director of Huawei Dept. of Industry and Standards (West Europe) which has a wide range of responsibilities including standards, industry collaboration, ecosystems and telecom regulatory policies, etc.  Mr. Luo is active in various standards fields including Network  Functionalities  Virtualization(NFV), multimedia communication, cloud computing, etc. He is now leading Huawei’ s standards work in the areas of NFV and multimedia.
Nikolay Nikiforov
Chairman of the Board, Diginavis, Russian Federation

Nikolay Nikiforov was ​born in 1982 in Kazan, Russia.  He holds a degree in Economics from the Kazan State University.
Since the 2000’s he has had  experience in different roles at IT-startups. He was  the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia from 2010-2012. 
He held the position of Minister of Telecom and Mass Media of Russia from 2012-2018. He focused on broadband penetration through massive fiber optics construction and satellite launches, first 4G and 5G networks in Russia, public e-services, e-commerce through postal infrastructure, digital economy national program, new innovative city of Innopolis and new Innopolis University. In June 2018 - founded technology investment company Diginavis and focused on deep research in digital technologies including unmanned vehicles, AI, robotics.
Paul Spence
Chief Technologist, McLaren Applied Technologies (MAT)

Paul is Chief Technologist for McLaren Applied Technologies (MAT), responsible for the technical delivery of high-performance data systems across a broad range of markets. These data systems encompass data collection on mobile vehicles, transmission by various telemetry solutions, radio technologies and analysis systems for either human or machine learning. In MAT’s automotive activities Paul leads on the problem of how to validate autonomous vehicles, engaging with many of the OEMs, techs and regulators as well as being part of the UNs Validation Methods for Automated Driving group. New approaches are required for such a large step in technology most importantly because they are safety critical. In rail and road as in Motorsport MAT is always looking at novel solutions to provide passenger connectivity that is reliable and robust at high vehicle speeds. The reliability and performance needs of 5G is a great opportunity to apply some of motorsport’s fusion between simulation and performance measurement.
Fred Werner
Head, Strategic Engagement Division, TSB, ITU

Fred is a seasoned Association Management professional with a passion for telecommunications specializing in strategic communications, community building, and international relations. Fred is currently responsible for Communications and Membership for ITU's standardization bureau. Previously, he was the Communications & Program Director for ETIS – The Global IT Association for Telecommunications. Fred is deeply involved with innovation, digital transformation, financial inclusion, 5G and AI via numerous ICT industry projects, working groups, and events he has developed. He has also been credited with helping the telecom industry create a pan-European community of cyber-security experts.​ Fred has a B.A. in Business & Human Resources Management, a Minor in Communications, an MBA in International Business and a Technical MBA in Managing Telecoms Technology. Previously he worked in the Conformity Assessment sector and was involved in numerous EU development projects. Fred is an avid global traveler and has lived in many diverse countries including the United Kingdom, Belgium, Senegal, Turkey, Austria, Philippines, Switzerland, and Hungary giving him a unique global viewpoint.​
