First Workshop on Network 2030

Introduction

The International Telecommunication Union at the kind invitation of the New York University in Brooklyn, organized the First Workshop on Network 2030, which took place on 2 October 2018, in New York City, United States.

The workshop was followed by the inaugural meeting of the ITU-T Focus Group on Technologies for Network 2030 (FG NET-2030) which took place at the same venue from 3-4 October 2018. Objectives
The Workshop on Network 2030 aimed to provide a forum for both industry and academia to exchange their ideas about networks in the year 2030 and thereafter. Participants were able to share their viewpoints, findings, latest research, and their project descriptions and goals.

Target Audience
The target audience of the event included ITU Member States, national standards bodies, ICT regulators, ICT companies, ICT research organizations, service providers, and academia.​​​​​ This event was open and free of charge.
