​​​​Simao Camp​os
Counsellor , ITU-T Study Group 16, ITU 

Simão joined the secretariat of the ITU Standardization Sector in 2002, and is the Counsellor for ITU-T Study Group 16 (for standardization work on multimedia, including audio and video coding, accessibility/human factors, e-health, ITS, IPTV and digital signage) and ITU-T Focus Group on AI for health (FG-AI4H). He has a long experience in standardization, having started with voice compression standards in 1989. Prior to joining ITU, Simão was a Scientist at COMSAT Labs in the USA and a researcher at CPqD, a telecom research center in Brazil. A Senior Member of the IEEE, Simão authored several academic papers and position papers, served in the review committee of several IEEE-sponsored conferences, and organized the first ITU Kaleidoscope Conference.

Shelly Chadha
Technical Lead, Ear and Hearing Care, WHO​​​

Dr. Shelly Chadha is the technical lead for WHO’s work in the field of ear and hearing care. The major initiatives she leads include the Make Listening Safe initiative, the World Hearing Day, the World report on hearing and the World Hearing Forum. 
Alarcos Cieza
Unit Head, Sensory Functions, WHO

Dr. Alarcos Cieza is the unit head responsible for WHO’s work in the field of sensory functions (vision and hearing), disability and rehabilitation. Her work focusses on developing systems and services for integration of suitable care for people with limitations in functioning, including hearing and visual impairments
Ayrton Hogan
Consultant, WHO

Ayrton Hogan is a consultant for WHO contributing to the Make Listening Safe initiative. Ayrton is an Audiologist and holds a degree in Audio Engineering. He has extensive experience in education roles with a hearing aid manufacturer in regional and global roles. Ayrton is passionate about preserving hearing, about audio quality, and about empowering people via clear communication. 
​​Ren Minghui
Assistant Director-General, Universal Health Coverage/Communicable and noncommunicable Diseases Division (UCN), WHO, Switzerland 

Dr. Ren Minghui serves as Assistant Director-General Universal Health Coverage/ Communicable and noncommunicable Diseases Division at WHO headquarters. In this role, he oversees a complex portfolio of technical programmes covering HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, mental health, substance use, and noncommunicable diseases. He represents WHO on the boards of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, UNAIDS, and UNITAID.  Prior to his appointment as Assistant Director-General, he spent nearly 30 years working in public health, including as Director-General for International Cooperation in the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China. In China, his work initially focused on health policy and health reform, and later on international health cooperation. Dr Ren is a medical doctor and holds a Master of Public Health and a PhD in Social Medicine and Health.  
​ ​ Melita N. Moore
Board Member and Chair, Health and Wellness Commission, GEF​

Dr. Melita N. Moore is a quadruple board certified physician and  recently served as a team physician in the NBA 2K League, WNBA and NBA G League. In addition, she is a Member of the Board, Chair of the Health and Wellness Commission and Vice President of the Pan Am Development Federation for the Global Esports Federation. Dr. Moore has become the international thought leader on health and wellness for gamers and esports athletes.  She has been innovative and instrumental in introducing the new subspecialty of Esports Medicine and is an editor for the Handbook of Esports Medicine - the first documented textbook to be published on this field of study.


Simeon Shang
Lead, Tencent Ethereal Audio Lab, Tencent

After graduating from Peking University with master degree, Shidong first joined Motorola and started to work in audio and speech domains for consumer entertainment products like AVR, Blue-ray player and high-end amplifiers. In year 2010, Shidong joined Dolby Chinas as the director of Licensing Engineering team to take charge of Dolby mobile audio licensing business. In year 2015, Shidong relocated to Dolby Australia. On top of the team and scope of work in China, he extended his responsibility to lead Dolby Sydney consumer entertainment engineering team and build up Dolby Android-based SmartTV licensing business from ground-up.  

In the beginning of year 2019, Shidong moved back to China and joined Tencent to lead Tencent Ethereal Audio Lab. His team focus on the cutting-edge and forward-looking audio and speech technologies research and development.  They are responsible for the end-to-end audio technology solutions in Tencent Meeting, TRTC and a number of other Tencent household products. The full technology spectrum of his team runs the gamut of speech and audio capturing, scene analysis and classification, signal processing, encoding, decoding and quality assessment for various device types and user cases in RTC scenarios. 
Ben Van der Westhuizen
Student, South African Schools College

Ben is a 13-year-old teenager from Cape Town, South Africa. He attends the South African Schools College (SACS) as a current grade 8 student. His favourite subjects include Geography, Economical sciences and English but his real passions are cricket, hockey, playing the saxophone, and of course gaming. On the cricket field, he is a keen seam bowler and he has great admiration for players like Sachin Tendulkar and Dale Steyn. On the x-box, he is known as FamousMAV007 and his favourite games are Call of Duty, Forza 5, and FIFA. He wishes that his mother would understand that you can’t pause an online game!
