Sixth ITU/WHO Workshop on "Artificial Intelligence for Health"

Introduction
At the kind invitation of the Universal Communications Service Access Fund of Tanzania, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the World Health Organization (WHO) organized an ITU and WHO workshop on “AI for Health" in Zanzibar, Tanzania, 2 September 2019. 
This workshop was the sixth in a series of workshops linked to the ITU/WHO Focus Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health (FG-AI4H). The aim of these workshops was  to provide a platform for researchers, engineers, practitioners, entrepreneurs and policy makers to discuss standardization opportunities for the assessment of AI for health solutions and to identify use cases and data required for the evaluation and validation with open benchmarks. The workshop was followed by the 6th meeting of the ITU-T FG-AI4H) from 3 to 5 September 2019, at the same venue​. The workshop and meeting were held in English only.

Target Audience
Participation in the workshop and the Focus Group meeting was open to ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates and Academic Institutions and to any individual from a country that is a member of ITU who wishes to contribute to the work. This included individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations. Participation in the workshop and the Focus Group meeting was free of charge.
