BOATENG Isaac

IsaacBoateng.pngMr Boateng holds an MSC Degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Brunel University, UK and specialized in Data & Wireless Networks. He has BSC in Physics, a member of the IEEE and an adjunct lecturer in Data Communication & Computer Networking, School of Technology, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
 
Mr Boateng has contributed to the ITU standardization sector since 2006. In 2008, he coordinated the African positions to the WTSA-08 and successfully pushed for the adoption of the famous Resolution 76 which has also been adopted by the three arms of the ITU, the Plenipotentiary and council.  Due to his great contributions to the work of ATU and ITU-T, the African group at WTSA-12 supported his candidacy and he has been appointed as vice chair of SG11 for the study period 2013-2016.

He is a vice chair of WP3/11 and a Rapporteur, Q8/11. Boateng has done several presentations on wide range of issues at ITU/ATU organized meetings. He provides technical support to ATU on wide range of topics including Standardisation.
 
Isaac Boateng has ten years’ experience as telecom regulator and he is currently in charge of Licensing, Standards and New Technologies.
