Mr. Michael Ocero holds a Masters Degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Business Computing Degree from Makerere University in Uganda. He also holds accreditation with specific Information Technology Brands.
He was engaged in the private sector as a Systems Engineer, Principal Network Administrator and Part-time Tutor at the Uganda Institute of Information Technology before joining the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (I.C.T).
He presently serves as the Acting Commissioner I.T Department at the Ministry of I.C.T.
In the private sector he engaged in the management and deployment of Information technology solutions ranging from e-commerce to Network Infrastructure projects.
His current duties at the Ministry of I.C.T are to evolve and oversee implementation of policies, laws and regulations regarding Information Technology.
