Mr. Hibbard is a senior security professional with 30+ years of experience in ICT, working for government (U.S. DoD, DoE, and NASA), academia (University of California), and industry.

Hibbard serves as the International Representative for INCITS/CS1 Cyber Security, Co-Chair of the American Bar Association's  (ABA) Electronic Discover & Digital Evidence (EDDE) Committee and Vice Chair of the ABA Cloud Computing Committee, Chair of the IEEE Information Assurance Standards Committee, Chair of the SNIA Security TWG, and Vice Chair of the IEEE Security in Storage WG (SISWG). His is also the Editor of ISO/IEC 27040 (Storage security), Project Editor of ISO/IEC 27050 (Electronic discovery), and Editor of IEEE 1619 (XTS-AES) daft standards as well as the Co-Editor of the recently published ITU-T Y.3500 | ISO/IEC 17788 (Cloud overview). He is also involved with INCITS/T11, CSA, ISACA, ISSA, IAPP, TCG, and IEEE-USA CIPC.

Mr. Hibbard currently holds the (ISC)2 CISSP certification as well as the ISSAP, ISSMP, and ISSEP concentrations. He also holds the ISACA CISA and the SNIA SCSE certifications. His educational background includes a B.S. in Computer Science and a Certificate of Proficiency in Data Communications.
