​Larry Lamers brings twenty years of experience in storage and nine years of work in cloud and virtualization management to his role at VMware in standards and industry initiatives. His primary work is related to management of cloud infrastructure and virtualization in data center and cloud environments. He has served in a variety of positions (director, chair, vice-chair, technical editor) within industry organizations developing standards. He represents VMware at several key organizations including the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), INCITS DAPS38, JTC 1 SC38, and ETSI NFV.
