Mr. Ahlberg has been with Ericsson IPR & Licensing since early 2014. With over 39,000 granted patents, Ericsson has emerged as the company holding one of the strongest radio communication patent portfolios in the industry covering 2G, 3G, 4G and soon 5G cellular standards.
In his work as a Defensive IPR Strategist, Mr Ahlberg is involved in a broad spectrum of IPR related affairs, such as Open Source, IPR in M&A transactions, R&D collaborations, and IPR issues related to sourcing and sales.
The one constant in his work is the aim to protect Ericsson intellectual property and securing Ericsson freedom to operate.
