DOLAN Mike, The Linux Foundation

Michael_Dolan_photo.jpgMichael Dolan is VP of Strategic Programs responsible for Collaborative Projects and legal programs. The Linux Foundation’s purpose is to spread the collaborative DNA of open source and Linux to accelerate innovation and build ecosystems on shared, open foundations. Mr. Dolan has setup and launched 40+ open source and open standards projects covering technology segments including networking, virtualization, cloud, blockchain, Internet of Things, Big Data and analytics, security, containers, storage and embedded devices. Mr. Dolan is also involved in OpenChain, SPDX and runs open source legal programs such as The Linux Foundation’s annual Legal Summit and Open Compliance Summit. Prior to joining The Linux Foundation, Mr. Dolan spent 8 years at IBM in roles responsible for IBM’s Linux and Open Source strategy across systems, software and services. Mr. Dolan also managed IBM’s competitor intelligence and strategy teams for systems, services and software. Mr. Dolan received an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in 2004, a JD from Cleveland State University in 2002 and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1999 from John Carroll University. Mr. Dolan is currently a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
