ITU Workshop on Practical measurement of QoS/QoE Parameters for Regulatory compliance

Introduction
An ITU Workshop on “Practical measurement of QoS/QoE Parameters for Regulatory compliance” will take place at the Azalai Plage Hotel in Cotonou, Benin, from 16 to 17 July 2012. The host for this workshop is the “Autorité Transitoire de Regulations des Postes et Télécommunications” (ATRPT).

The workshop will be followed by the Fourth meeting of ITU-T Study Group 12 Regional Group for Africa on 18 July 2012 at the same venue and will also be hosted by the ATRPT.
Objectives
The Workshop is aimed at aligning the various interests in technical measurement of Quality of Service/ Experience obligations in African countries.
Expected Outcomes:
  • Understanding of Regulatory Principles of Ensuring QoS/QoE
  • Understanding of Regulatory tools for enforcing QoS/QoE obligations
  • Understanding of Practical measurement methods of assessing QoS/QoE obligations
