Tiago works at ANATEL/BRAZIL since 2011 as adviser on planning and implementing ICT public policies, mainly the broadband national plan (PNBL), by fostering the deployment of telecommunication/ICT infrastructure and competition in the provision of broadband services over the country.
He has been working in the development of a regulation framework for assessment of quality of mobile and fixed broadband services for many years, and also in the field of spectrum pricing and spectrum auctioning for enhancing the provision of broadband services (4G and ahead).
On the field of telecommunication/ICT international standardization, he was the Editor of the Recommendation Y.3035 (“Service Universalization in Future Networks”) on ITU-T Study Group 13 that leads to raise awareness of the importance to develop new technologies economically sustainable. Besides, he frequently participate in Brazilian delegations (in many cases as Head of Delegation) on relevant conferences as ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly – WTSA, ITU-T SG 2 and SG 13 meetings and OAS/CITEL Permanent Consultative Committee I: Telecommunications/ICT meetings.
