Introduction
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organized  a workshop on Telecommunication Service Quality as an Enabler of the Digital Economy from 19 to 21 August 2019 in Singapore. The workshop was hosted by the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA).

Objectives
Facilitated by the Quality of Service Development Group (QSDG) operating under ITU-T Study Group 12 (Performance, Quality of Service, Quality of Experience), the aim of this workshop was to extend the reach of ITU activities on telecommunication service quality in Asia and the Pacific, and to advance the implementation of WTSA Resolution 95 on ITU-T initiatives to raise awareness on best practices and policies related to service quality.
The discussion focused on:

• The role of telecommunication service quality in the digital economy;
• QoS and QoE in mobile networks;
• Crowdsourced data collection for the assessment of QoS and QoE;
• QoE of video streaming, AR, VR and other multimedia services;
• Quality regulatory frameworks.

Target Audience
Participation was open to ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates and Academic Institutions and to any individual from a country that is a member of ITU who wished to contribute to the work. This included individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations.​
