Enrique Blanco was born in Madrid in 1959. He has a degree in Physics from the University Complutense of Madrid .He holds a Master Degree in Management (PDG) from IESE Business School (University of Navarra) and received a Master Degree in Technology from the EOI.
He joined Telefónica 27 years ago and has mainly developed his professional career in Telefónica de España, S.A.U., after 3 years working for ITT in digital switching software design.
From 1986 to 1999, he worked in the Direction of Technology. Afterwards, he assumed responsibilities in Telefónica Internacional focused on Networks and Platforms.
After that, he returns to Telefónica de España, S.A.U. and joined the Direction of Operations, where he performed several Director Positions linked to the development and management Systems, Company Partners, national local Networks, and, finally, he was appointed Director of Operations and Engineering, with a team of about 18.000 employees.
Since September 2011, he became GCTO of Telefónica Corp. within the Global Resources Division.
