Episode #2: IoT-based automotive emergency response system

This webinar was part of ITU’s webinar series on Digital transformation for cities and communities.

The Internet of Thing (IoT) is playing an increasing important role in transforming the automotive industry. IoT devices and capabilities are enabling emergency vehicles to respond to an emergency quickly and efficiently. Crucial information, including dispatch coordination, current traffic, driving conditions, route to destination, can be obtained in nearly real time.

The webinar looked at the IoT ecosystem required to facilitate effective automotive emergency response and preparation. It brought together experts to discuss the latest development of IoT and its application in the automotive and emergency service industries. The webinar placed a unique emphasis on the role of international standards in fostering the IoT environment for public safety and emergency responses.
