Helge Molin, Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology

​Helge Molin works for the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology within the unit for integrated transport management where is responsible of national and international ITS projects.

Helge has been working in the field of ITS since 2009 and has been involved in the negotiation for the ITS-Directive and the Austrian national ITS law. He is a member of the European ITS-Committee, the European C-ITS platform and the ITS-Austria platform. Apart from C-ITS, where he is involved in the Connected Corridor project and the C-roads platform, Helge’s work has also focused on implementing other ITS solutions on a national basis, such as the Austrian public multimodal transport graph “GIP” and the multimodal journey planner VAO.

Prior to working in ITS, Helge was responsible for the federal transport coordination in Austria for the UEFA Euro 2008 football tournament.

Helge studied Urban and Regional Planning at the Technical University of Vienna and has joined the ministry in 2004.​
