​ICT Department at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC)

The ICT Department at the UOC has organized the equit@T Award for the promotion of gender equality in ICT in the geographical area of the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and Latin America. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday April 28 at 18pm in the Espacio Bonnemaison, in Barcelona (Spain).

In addition to the award ceremony, the event count with the presence of Sydney Padua, author of The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage, a book of which it will be presented that day the Spanish translation due by the UOC publishing house, and Xavier Molero, head of the Museum of Computing School of Computer Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, who will talk about the history of women in computing with the talk De Ada Byron a Grace Hopper y las programadoras del ENIAC: los bits, en femenino.
