Generation Connect – Asia and the Pacific Youth Envoys (GC-ASP) – Cohort of 2022
The group composed of the 2022 cohort of Generation Connect – Asia and the Pacific Youth Envoys (GC-ASP) aimed to provide a unique participative process for youth to contribute to the work of ITU in Asia and the Pacific (ASP) region. It offered youth from this region a platform to discuss opportunities and challenges related to digital technologies alongside country and international organization representatives, and to discuss their interests, concerns and perspective on digital transformation.
The young members of 2022 cohort of GC-ASP Youth Envoys, coming from all around Asia and the Pacific, represented its youth community to discuss the challenges and opportunities on how youth could better support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals at the side-event “Generation Connect Asia and the Pacific: youth empowerment for a digital future“, held in the framework of the Regional Preparatory Meeting (RPM) for Asia and the Pacific, ahead of the World Telecommunication Development Conference which took place in June 2022.
