6th April: Side-event “Generation Connect: Young People Shaping the Digital Agenda”
What does it mean to you to be connected? How can youth contribute to digital development for all? How can youth networks collaborate to support young people in shaping the digital agenda?
Join us to discover how to engage with the growing online Generation Connect community and get involved in future initiatives!
Co-organised by the ITU and the UN Major Group on Children and Youth, the Youth SPI Platform, and the UN IANYD Youth Caucus, this side-event will be held on April 06, 2021 between 9:00 -10:00 EST (15:00 – 16:00 CET).
7th April: Thematic Session “Inclusive Peace: The way forward”
This thematic session on, “Inclusive Peace”, will cover four main topics that are relevant to the process of building back better from the COVID-19 pandemic and address how to achieve targets set out in both SDG 10 (No Inequality) and SDG 16 (Peace and Justice). Organised by UNODC, the Global Youth Caucus, UNESCO, ITU, UNICEF, UNDP, OSGEY, MGCY and other partners, this thematic session will be held on April 07, 2021 between 14:45 -15:45 EST (20:45 – 21:45 CET).
The four topics that will be addressed are:
- Digital inclusion and safe spaces;
- Participation in decision-making and peace processes;
- Reducing inequalities and discrimination;
- Crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law.
