The Generation Connect Youth Envoys (GCYE) are young leaders nominated by Member States and selected by the ITU Development Sector. As a volunteer-driven global network, their engagement strengthens youth participation in digital transformation by contributing to national, regional, and global ICT initiatives that promote meaningful connectivity and inclusive digital progress for all youth. Acting as catalysts within their communities, they connect local perspectives to regional and global processes, translating international digital priorities into practical, community-driven solutions aligned with broader development objectives. 

What do Generation Connect Youth Envoys do?

Terms of engagement for Generation Connect Youth Envoys are:

  • Co-design /engage/participate in implementation of relevant regional and global initiatives, projects, and events roundtables; consultation groups; events; trainings; workshops and webinars.
  • Amplify and champion the work of Generation Connect in your diverse youth communities,through promotion of and active participation in relevant in ITU projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute proactively with ideas, and by sharing expertise, good practices, and challenges as result of leading their youth related activities with the Generation Connect team.
  • Promote youth digital inclusion recognising and respecting the diversity of ideas and opinions,and maintaining political neutrality in all contributions, focusing only on the scope of themes as agreed with ITU.

The Generation Connect Youth Envoys are members of a global community that is organized by ITU regions.
