26 November, Geneva: ITU workshop on Quality of Service regulation

Regulators promoting Quality of Service (QoS) are set to meet with network operators, equipment vendors and companies specializing in QoS assessment at an ITU workshop on ‘Telecommunication service quality regulatory frameworks and experience-driven networking’ in Geneva, 26 November 2018. The workshop is free of charge and open to all.

The workshop will support ITU in providing technical guidance to regulators promoting high QoS in their home markets, an area of work gaining a progressively larger share of the ITU standardization work programme.

< Register to participate in Geneva or online >

  • Gain insight into national QoS regulatory frameworks from the results of a questionnaire to ITU Member States.
  • Discuss the future of QoS regulation in view of emerging trends such as responsive regulation and crowdsourced QoS measurement.
  • Receive expert guidance on the latest techniques to assess customer experience and means to ensure transparency in performance ranking methodologies.
  • Hear from network operators monitoring service quality using ITU standards.
  • Learn more about standardized performance indices to guarantee superior broadband quality of experience (QoE) and the value of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in QoE assurance.
