Promoting women in STEM in Romania

The upcoming Plenipotentiary Conference of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), PP-22, is set to be held from 26 September to 14 October in Bucharest, Romania.

In the run-up to the conference, ITU News is shining a spotlight on host country Romania’s efforts to advance gender-responsive, inclusive and green digital development.

In the first episode of this PP-22 video series, Leadership Board member at non-profit Global Women in Tech Steliana Moraru tells ITU about challenges and opportunities for women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), as well as how Romania’s entrepreneurship ecosystem is being transformed by women-led initiatives.
