Technical studies on the satellite component of the VHF data exchange system

WRC-19 was invited to consider modifications of the Radio Regulations (RR) to enable a new VHF data exchange satellite component (call VDE-SAT).

This Report provides a summary of why a VDE-SAT component is required, identifies the spectrum requirements, and gives a technical description of the VDE-SAT and the results of the appropriate sharing and compatibility studies.
