On the other hand, dangers ranging from issues of privacy, fake news and deep fakes, to violent and inappropriate content, Internet scammers, and the spectre of online grooming and sexual abuse and exploitation, not to mention the unexpected impact of Covid-19, lurk in the darkness of the digital world.

The ITU COP Guidelines have been reviewed to reflect the very significant shifts in the digital landscape in which today’s children find themselves.
