Kaleidoscope 2019 – ICT for Health

The annual ITU Kaleidoscope academic conference was held in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2019. Its theme was “ICT for Health: Networks, Standards and Innovation”. ITU Kaleidoscope 2019: ICT for Health provides an overview of the event. Special sessions included research on ICT infrastructure for healthcare, medical ICT, medical Internet of Things, digital health strategies, smart technologies for care-givers, and safety and security in health-care. Each paper highlights a key issue with artificial intelligence in the sector, with the aim of working towards international standards to govern AI in healthcare.
