In-person participation only.SDG Digital was organised in conjunction with the 2023 SDG Summit hosted by the United Nations General Assembly to mark the mid-point on the road to 2030. SDG Digital took place within the SDG Action Weekend, where focus was given to bringing solutions for the SDGs to scale – including the launch of the UN High Impact Initiative on Digital Public Infrastructure.
Objectives
Demonstrate
Demonstrate how data and digital technologies can be leveraged to accelerate progress towards the SDGs and their targets, including by taking stock of the current situation, challenges, and opportunities. The outcome of this analysis is summarized in the SDG Digital Acceleration Agenda.
Showcase
Showcase proven digital solutions with game-changing potential to accelerate progress on the SDGs, and country success stories which demonstrate key components of digital transformation at the national level.
Mobilize
Mobilize new commitments to expand universal, meaningful global connectivity through the Partner2Connect (P2C) initiative.
Catalyse
Catalyse transformative action and pathways to scale collaboration and better coordination of resources through recommendations and commitments of the UN High Impact Initiative on Digital Public Infrastructure.
Engage youth
Engage youth as both solution-providers and solution-partners to win the SDG race.
Introduce
Introduce the SDG Digital GameChangers Award to honour individuals and organizations working towards rescuing the Global Goals through digital.
