This category aims to leverage the power of ICTs to build peaceful, just, and inclusive societies while highlighting the importance of international collaboration. It recognizes the transformative power of digital in strengthening governance structures, promoting transparency, and facilitating cooperation among diverse stakeholders.
Submissions for this category may include but are not limited to ICT projects, applications or policies that promote:

  • Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution, leveraging digital to promote peacebuilding efforts, conflict prevention, and resolution, fostering social cohesion and harmony within communities and societies
  • Access to Justice, highlighting initiatives that utilize ICTs to improve access to justice, enhance legal systems ensuring equal rights and protection for all individuals
  • Transparency, recognizing initiatives that promote good governance and transparency, through digital platforms, enabling citizens to engage with institutions
  • Data-driven Decision Making, highlighting initiatives that harness data and digital technologies to inform evidence-based policymaking, improve public service delivery, and strengthen decision-making processes at local, national, and international levels

ekShop is the First rural e-commerce platform in Bangladesh, helping producers in rural areas and the thousands of marginal entrepreneurs and SMEs to be able to sell their goods in and outside the country using the e-commerce marketplace. The marketplace incorporates all the major and trusted e-commerce, payments and logistic players into one platform through API and acts as a national e-commerce facilitator and infrastructure backbone. Entrepreneurs can go to government-run digital centres around the country to learn how to upload data and information of their products (capacity building)

TradeTrust allows end users to endorse, exchange and verify documents and effect title transfer across different digital platforms seamlessly.

TradeTrust can be utilised to digitalise two categories of documents used in cross-border trade: Verifiable Documents such as the Certificate of Origin where the provenance and authenticity of the e-document can be easily verified by any party; and Transferable Documents such as Bill of Lading where the e-document’s title ownership can be transferred from one party to another Useful for processes, such as shipping lines, shippers/consignees, logistics service providers, financial institutions providing trade financing services, trade and logistics related platform providers and government authorities involved in cross-border shipment clearances.
