The 14th Meeting of the Expert Group on Telecommunication/ICT Indicators (EGTI)  took place from 18 to 21​ September 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland. The EGTI meeting was held back-to-back with the 11th meeting of the Expert Group on ICT Househol​​d Indicators (EGH)​, which also took place on 18, 19 and ​21 September 2023. A joint EGTI/EGH meeting on the ICT Development Index (IDI) was held on 18 to 19 September 2023.

The objective of the 14th EGTI meeting was to examine the contributions received from members of the EGTI online discussion forum over the current working period, with a view to finalizing the items under discussion.

The topics discussed during the EGTI meeting will include a report of the subgroup on the development of indicators measuring over-the-top (OTT) services (jointly with EGH); a report of the subgroup on measuring fixed broadband penetration; and the outcomes of a pilot data collection of recently introduced indicators on mobile money.

EGTI meetings are open to all ITU members and experts in the field of ICT statistics and data collection.

The documents concerning the meeting, including the preparatory documents for the discussions were made available in the EGTI online forum. The meeting was held in CICG Geneva. Remote participation was offered for this meeting.  Interpretation in the six ITU official languages and captioning in English was provided for this meeting.
