The Second Meeting of the Members of the Digital Innovation Board of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development will take place on 28 October 2024 in the framework of the 2024 Global Innovation Forum to be held from 28 to 30 October 2024 in Valletta, Malta, at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
Background
The Digital Innovation Board is one of the three main vehicles of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development, a flagship initiative of the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). The Digital Innovation Board and each of its esteemed Members contributes to shaping an inclusive digital future for all, as the Alliance aims to accelerate digital transformation by fostering local digital innovation and entrepreneurial capacities and creating linkages at the national, regional, and global levels. The Digital Innovation Board advises the Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau on issues related to the Alliance and to innovation and entrepreneurship specifically.
Meeting Objectives
The main objective of this second board meeting is to report on the progress that was made in implementing the recommendations adopted at the first Board Meeting that include the high-level work plan, the strategic communication plan, the monitoring and evaluation framework, the Terms of Reference for working groups, resource mobilization mechanisms, and platforms for networking and collaboration.
